I used this company 10/2018 for repairs on a 92 Nissan Truck. The cost out the door was $2,832.45 and I had to use CFS (dba Dignifi now) and am still paying installments. Mileage was 169,000 I took my truck in recently on Monday, 6/29/20 because every time I started the engine, it made a screeching noise until you hit the gas at high rpm's. The mileage was now 172,751. That is a difference of 3k for the 2 years or approximately 1,500 miles each year. I expected them to replace a belt. I called in to see the status and spoke to Todd who informed me I needed a serpentine belt, seal transmission, front wheel bearings needed repacking, and a brand new clutch. I questioned why would I need a totally new clutch and all that entail parts and labor when it had been done 10/2018. Todd lied and said I had put 10k miles on the vehicle in the 2 years. The cost for all repairs would be $1,759.00. I just saw red. Told him to just fix the belt only. Even there, he said he couldn't find the right size belt and had to "piece" an alternator belt with an a/c belt. My original quote for a belt went from $74 to $197.55 (parts & labor). Today, 7/2/20, I took the truck to another mechanic for a second opinion whom I was referred to by a friend . I was told that other than a fan belt, he saw no need for a new clutch, nor anything else other than a fan belt down the line. He informed me the a/c belt that Car Pro charged me for was put in upside down, now had a cut in it and was hanging. Todd at Car Pro Muffler Master is a big ole' thief. Now it makes me wonder if all the work done 10/2018 was actually needed.
